Index > My page header doesn't fit

The reason that your page header doesn't fit is because it might not be the recommended size.  To find the banner dimensions, click on the page header (or click on Edit Page Header in the Current Site Settings section)  A dialog box will open and you will see the Banner Size dimensions in the instructions at the top.

To edit the size of your banner, you can either:

  1. Use the Banner Editor.
  2. Use the Aviary feature (Aviary is a web-based image manipulation tool that has an option for you to resize your image).

To use the Banner Editor:

  1. Click on the Edit button beside the image you want to edit.  This will cause a dialog box to open up.
  2. Click on the grey box in the bottom right hand corner of the image to scale your image to fit into the banner area perfectly.
  3. Make the changes and click on the "OK" button. The banner image will load on the page in the Sitebuilder and a new version of the file will save in your File Manager.

To use Aviary:

  1. Click on Site Settings > Manage Webspace.
  2. Wait a few moments for the image to load then click on the Edit button underneath the thumbnail you want to edit.
  3. Once Aviary opens, click on "Resize" to adjust the image to your liking. Enter your new dimensions. If you wish to retain the proportions, the lock icon needs to be blue. If you wish to enter your own custom dimensions, click on the lock icon to unlock this and it turns gray. Then enter your desired dimensions.
  4. Click on "Apply".
  5. Click on the "Save" button.
